Glacier Point is an Amazing Wedding Ceremony Location

Kristin & Ryan had a lovely Yosemite wedding at Glacier Point followed by a beautiful reception at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley. It was a gorgeous morning ceremony high above the valley floor. Glacier Point gets early sun which makes it perfect for a morning ceremony.

After the ceremony we got some couples portraits throughout Yosemite Valley. El Cap meadow is beautiful that time of year with its golden grasses.

Having the reception at The Ahwahnee Hotel is the perfect way to conclude a wedding day. The food is spectacular and the staff is very professional. They host and cater hundreds of weddings each year. And you don’t have to have your ceremony at the Ahwahnee in order to have a wedding reception. Perfect for those having their ceremony at Glacier Point or somewhere else in the national park.

Kristin and Ryan are amazing, and I really enjoyed working with them. Since we had already met for an adventure session the previous fall at Taft Point, it felt like we were old friends by the time their wedding came. I love when couples have a Couple or Adventure Session with me before the wedding. It really helps us get to know each better. And it always makes it so much more comfortable to be in front of the camera on the wedding day.

Kristin’s mom even started following my work on social media and it amazes me how the whole family felt like friends come the wedding day since we’d been interacting online. What an amazing day and age we live in.

I love working with couples in love and am so grateful to capture these magical moments for you. If you’re looking for your Yosemite, Eastern Sierra, or anywhere in the world wedding or adventure elopement photographer, please be in touch!
