Morning Jaunt in the High Sierra

My friend Lisa called at like 7:00 last night, and asked me if I wanted to go climb Mt Emerson with her today. I wanted to so bad but I’m trying really hard to finish up the processing on my last wedding from the main summer wedding season. This was such an amazing summer shooting weddings, and I met so many amazing couples and people, but the processing work has been immense. I am so excited that by tomorrow I am going to be finished with my last wedding of the summer! And I’m so excited for Candy and Michael to see their images because they’re going to love them!!
So I chose to at least join Lisa for a morning jaunt in the mountains, and made it all the way to the base of Mt Emerson, a huge 13,204 foot peak with what appeared to be 2500 feet of climbing on what looked like incredible granite. So mouth watering. Lisa and I flew up the approach, so I decided to at least climb up like 100 feet or so, as long as I could down climb. It felt so good to move over stone and enjoy such a beautiful fall day in the mountains in my backyard. More of this to come soon since I’m nearly caught up with all my work, which means I’m going to get into fall shooting, climbing, hiking, and being outside mode. I can’t wait!!! This is my favorite time of year!!

[…] A few weeks later Lisa and I went out again up to Mt Emerson. Its incredible to live somewhere where you can just go out around home and be in world class mountain scenery and terrain. I LOVE living where I live here in Bishop, California. You can see more HERE. […]
