Erica and John’s Glorious Ahwanee Yosemite Wedding

Erica and John had a glorious wedding at the Ahwahnee in Yosemite last weekend and it was just magnificent. Yosemite was in full fall splendor and the color and vibrancy was stunning. Erica and John flew in from Indiana where they’re currently attending school and they had family and friends in from around the country. It was a grand affair on a perfect day. Erica’s parents were married at the Ahwahnee years ago, so there was an extra specialness to the day. One other incredibly special touch was that the minister flew in from the East Coast and it was the same minister that married John’s parents years ago. I love that both sets of parents have special connections with this wedding outside their immediate connection to Erica and John.
Erica and John, thank you so much for having me be a part of your special day!! I had so much fun being there with you capturing moments and memories. I wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness!!

Shawn, you really are an artist! These photos are amazingly beautiful. You captured the real emotions, real interactions, and my daughter never looked more beautiful. These will be treasured photos for the rest of our lives. I am so thankful that Erica found you and that you were available to shoot their wedding day. It really was a perfect day and now we have perfect photos to commemorate it. Sincerely, Debra Hansen (MOB)

Shawn, If photos can capture the depth of a person’s feelings about someone else, then you certainly managed to be there at those moments which were already etched indelibly in my mind’s eye. Now, I have your evocative photographic images to embellish the memory. I’m so impressed with how you managed to record these images in such an unobtrusive and informal, natural manner. On a day that nature already appointed to be a perfect fall spectacle, your photographs somehow enhanced the golden glow on the meadow and the brilliant sunlight in the solarium. The sepia tones from the winter room are among my favorites. I applaud my daughter for making such a great selection for her wedding photographer. My thanks!

Shawn! LONG TIME - NO SEE/TALK!! I absolutely LOVE your work and I want to move!!!! The colors, the atmosphere, the way in which that long lens just brings you right in and the beautiful bokeh is what I am drawn to. You are the perfect person to be right where you’re at and keep us all in awe over that area of the world!! Great job! great life! deb
