Maryland Family and Friend Trip Going Great
Ξ December 26th, 2007 | → | ∇ Personal |
I’ve been in Maryland for about a week now and its been so great to be with my family and see old friends. I hope everyone is having an amazing and joyous holiday season with loved ones.
Here’s my dad playing sax in his basement. He plays in an 8 piece band, and they sound awesome!
This is looking outside the window from my room here.
My friend Brad and I went for a hike in the local state park a couple days ago. For me being a nature lover, it was soooo nice to get out of the hussle and bussle and spend a nice day with a great friend in the park.
Brad is one of my best friends and he really wants to move out west. As we were walking in the park he would pick up all the trash he found (and there sure was alot more trash than I ever see in my local parks out west). What a great guy!
When I lived in MD we lived really close to a historic district and I used to spend a lot of time down there. It was really nice to go back and walk around Old Ellicott City.
Yesterday I spent Christmas with my family and we had a lovely day. I’ll post up some more pictures soon!

I played saxophone in High School. I was in a band. We were fairly horrible.
But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a good horn player and of course some nice photos of one. Happy New Year Shawn!

Shawn, I showed these to my husband, who grew up in Thurmont, and these made him really homesick!

Nice work, Shawn. The Sax shots reminded me of Joe Lovano! And your friend picking up trash–I was concerned about what he was doing until I read the caption.
