So today (Monday) just might be the day! I’m so excited I can’t even believe it!! It’s late Sunday night, early Monday morning, and I’ve had another 12+ hour day of working on finishing touches for the my music site, Shawn Reeder Music.com.

I’ve been working really hard with Jordan Downs from Koncept Media to bring you a site where you can find and buy awesome music that you hopefully love, to use with all you professional creative needs.

We’re planning on launching Shawn Reeder Music.com today, and we’re really excited!! We still have quite a bit if work to do, so it won’t be before this afternoon or evening (and there’s a slight chance it won’t be till tomorrow), but we’re trying our best and working really hard to go Live later this afternoon. With the spring in full action, the call of a favorite past time of mine is starting to stir within. I love rock climbing, and was just looking through some cool shots from years past getting inspired, so I thought I’d share a few. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of moving over stone, and its something I haven’t been doing very much lately because I’ve been so consumed with work, especially trying to get Shawn Reeder Music.com ready, which should be up in just a few days.

Some of my friends are some of the best climbers in the world, so its always so cool to catch them in action and to capture the exposure of some of the amazing places we get to go. I also just made a website for a great friend and very talented athlete I work with a lot, Sean Jones. You should check it out. I’ve shared some of my most amazing adventures, and been to the wildest places I’ve ever been, with Sean. He’s got a huge heart, a amazing passion for life, and more energy than anybody I know.

Its been really warm and beautiful here in Bishop, and its starting to get me excited about being outside more. I love this time of year! Every thing’s coming to life with spring time glory, and I’m getting over a huge work hump thats been months in the making.

I’m so excited about launching Shawn Reeder Music.com that I can hardly even stand it, but I’m equally excited to start getting outside more and enjoying nature and being athletic once again. This winter has been an intense time of new ideas, new beginnings, and lots of hard work, and now the sun is shining strong to help nurture these new beginnings and bring back times of healthy balance.

I’d like to share some photos I came across as I was getting inspired about the spring and summer outside time that I love so dearly. Gotta love good friends and beautiful nature.

So I just got home a few days ago from another amazing WPPI in Las Vegas. WPPI, or Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, is the biggest trade show in all of photography with around 12,000 attendees this year. There was all kinds of speakers and demonstrations, and the HUGE trade show, but I think the best part was all the parties and opportunities to meet and network with other photographers. It was great to see old friends and meet so many new ones. I always come home SUPER inspired from these events and this time was no exception.

This particular show was really exciting for me because I was starting to spread the word about Shawn Reeder Music.com, which is coming really soon!!! The link above is to my new music site which will be offering music with the perfect license for professional creatives, and will be active by next monday. Right now it goes to my main splash page. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to be 1 week away from launching a project that has been a dream of mine for years!! This is the reason I’ve hardly blogged over the last few weeks, I’ve just been swamped with work for my clients and getting the music site ready. And of course I got really inspired at WPPI with some new ideas for the music site that we hadn’t thought of before, so throughout the first month we’ll be implementing some awesome new features!!!

I want to share some pictures of the friends I was hanging with a lot in Vegas. I didn’t really carry a camera around like everyone else did, so I only have a few, but it was fun none the less. I may also grab some images off of my friends blogs to share as well.

Alex Abercrombie is someone dear to my heart, and one of the most talented and inspiring photographers and people I know. When I first started getting interested in shooting weddings, Alex was a tremendous encouragement and inspiration and she gave me such confidence to move into weddings. I really appreciate you Alex, and had such a good time hanging with you. I so wish I would of gotten my camera out more when she was around!

I want to share a picture of Jess’s of Alex, because I feel like it so much better captures how beautiful and wonderful she is.

Another great friend and constant inspiration who I got to spend a lot of time with is Jessica Del Vecchio. Jess is so helpful to so many people, and such a blast to hang out with. Its actually her birthday today as well so Happy Birthday Jess!!

Christine Vincent of Xinefoto is super cool and hung out with us a bunch. She splits her time between Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and New York City.

Sarah Hodzig of Blink Photography was at her first WPPI and was so much fun to hang out with. Sarah also enjoys rock climbing like I do so it was really cool that a couple of us got to go out to Red Rock Canyon outside the city and play around on the rocks and in nature. It was so nice to be in some nature after being in the city for like 5 straight days (5 days in the city is pretty much a record for me).

Chelsea Nicole and her husband Jayse joined us for some fun times out at Red Rocks. Chelsea is a super talented photographer based right there in Las Vegas. These next 2 shots are hers.
