Josh and Erica are good friends, so it was truly an honor to be able to shoot their wedding. I was actually only supposed to be a guest. I was going to shoot pictures anyway, but Josh’s friend who was going to shoot the wedding got severely sick the day of the wedding. He even showed up, but could hardly stand up he was so ill. So when I showed up and heard what was happening, I was psyched to shoot as their main shooter for them. They were so beautiful, and had a stunning site picked out right on the Merced river. One of my favorite aspects of shooting weddings, is getting to meet people’s families and most dear friends. It is so amazing to see where people come from, and to meet the special people that are part of their lives.

I met Rebecca and Marcus in Yosemite last week. They are getting married one week from today, just outside Yosemite. I’m so excited for them! They are so great and natural together. We got to get together, meet, and shoot their portaits in their wedding attire. They were so beautiful! Yosemite wasn’t so bad either. Its great to be able have time and no pressures of other people around, and we can really take the time to be creative. They were awesome and met me really early in the morning, so we got some gorgeous light. Yosemite is so amazing this time of year with the waterfalls raging and everything coming to life. Perfect time for a wedding.

Yosemite truly is one of the most beautiful places on earth. I just had the honor to spend a few days over there and capture memories for Rebecca and Marcus and for Erica and Josh. The weather was as beautiful as it gets, and everything is coming to life. Such a magical time to be in Yosemite. I had such an amazing trip, and I want to write all about it, but its late, so I’m gonna put up the teaser tonight. Just a few samples from the shoots this weekend, with a more thorough recap tomorrow.

Rebecca and Marcus just moved back to California from Conneticut and are getting married next weekend. We got to get together before the wedding and shoot some beautiful early morning pictures. It was amazing!! They sure were troopers willing to meet me at dawn, but the photos came out incredible!

The next day Erica and Josh got married on the river, and it was just stunning. I think one of my favorite things about shooting weddings is getting to meet and be with people when they’re around their family and close friends. There’s a lot of emotion, and family and friends are so special. I truly love to capture those precious moments.

I finished up editing and color correcting Kate & Larry’s e-session tonight, and there were so many more shots that I loved that I just had to put some more up on here.

We had such a blast and it really shows in how comfortable they were being in front of the camera.

I can’t wait to shoot their wedding!

So I pretty much finished putting up pictures on my new website a few days ago. I have a few more galleries to add, but for now I’m happy. I’m really happy actually, as I LOVE the way the new site has come together!! Its been alot of work, but I’m super stoked.

I haven’t done a release yet though, because I’m wanting to record a complete soundtrack for the site. This’ll take me a few weeks, but I’ve been recording alot over the last 2 days, so I’ve got some new stuff to put on. So exciting! So check out my website. Both the wedding and landscape/lifestyle sites have new music.

I recorded some of the songs myself and some with my friend Eduardo. I also have some music on there from my friend Jim Omealy. He’s one of the most talented pianists, or musicians of any instrument for that matter, that I’ve ever met. Hope to have another song or two up by the end of the weekend.

Rumor is that the Tioga pass to Yosemite is going to open this weekend, and so I think I’m going to head to Yosemite in a few days. Yay!!
