Wow, it sure has been a whirlwind of life since I last posted.  I had a fantastic trip to the East Coast over the holidays where I spent amazing time with my family and got to see some very good friends. Since I’ve gotten back, Ive been consumed with something new (that I’ll be announcing here real soon), that I’m really excited about and is going to mean lots more blogging and sharing of photos, music, and videos. So exciting!!

But for now, here’s a little recap of my last month or so with some teaser pics of full blog posts coming soon.  You’ll wanna check back soon cause there’s something really exciting in the works that I just can’t wait to share with you all!!

I had the amazing fortune to meet and spend the day with a family who I’ve admired for a long time, The Sandersons. Such a beautiful family, and incredible photographers.

My Dad and his wife Lynn are working on a new business and so we got a couple shots of them for their new website which will be going live really soon.

I also got to do an Engagement shoot in Baltimore for my good friends Jennifer and Eric. I’ll have a full blog post coming from this shoot real soon. Here’s a few teasers. We got some great shots!!

Since I’ve been back home, I’ve appreciated the mountains even more than usual as I always do after a trip away.

I went out hiking with my friends Lars and Ryan the other day, and we had a blast. The clouds were killer and it felt more like Junuary than January.  There will be a full blog post coming on this soon as well.

So while I was gone, I did get a new Canon 5D Mark II and I couldn’t be more excited!!! Its the first digital SLR to include full HD 1080p video capabilities, and the footage is just stunning. I went to a going away party the other night for my friend Mark who’s moving to South Dakota, and decided to bust out the camera for just a few minutes to play around. When I got home I decided to throw together a little short from the footage.

I’m totally just learning, but am really excited about the new possibilities video opens up!! I had the amazing honor to photograph another photographers family just recently, and we had a blast! Tawnya Hood of Beauty Of Life Photography and her wonderful family came to the Eastern Sierra from Mesa, AZ and we had a wonderful shoot on the shores of Mono Lake and in Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite’s high country. Tawnya and I met online through a wonderful resource and place to connect for photographers, OSP. She asked some time earlier this year about the possibility of coming up and having me photograph her family, and I’m so glad we got to make it happen. Tawnya, Chad, Kalei, Brighton, and Reese, I had so much fun hanging out with you all. I’m so glad we got to meet and spend the afternoon together. I wish you all much love and I hope you enjoy your pictures!

I just got home from an amazing trip back to Maryland to spend time with my family. It was so great to see everyone and this yearly trip is always so special for me. I only get to see my family usually once a year during the holidays. I love them so much and I cherish the time I get to spend with them.

It does feel really good to be home though. I love seeing my family so much but coming home to Bishop is like coming home to heaven for me. I love the mountains and nature so much and feel blessed to be living the life I live.

I also really need to get caught up on some work now. I’m nearly finished editing a wedding I shot at thanksgiving that I really need to finish up but the holidays just engulfed me, especially being with my family. I also need to finish some album designs and spend time on a major recording project I’m working on.

I’m so excited for 2008 and all thats ahead!!! Happy New Year!
